Toronto Maple Leafs forward Colby Armstrong will likely miss the rest of the season with a broken foot suffered during his team's 6-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning Monday night.

Armstrong stayed on the ice for a couple of shifts in the second period after getting hit in the skate by a Mike Lundin slap shot, but did not return from the dressing room for the third period.

In his post-game press conference, Leafs head coach Ron Wilson said that Armstrong is likely done for the year, adding that he felt bad for the unlucky winger and that other players will have to step up in his absense.

"All you have to do is look at our record with Colby in the lineup," said Wilson. "It's been, unfortunately, one of those years for him, breaking things, a mysterious eye ailment, stuff like that. There's not much we can do now. There are other people who have to fill in for him."

The 28-year-old had previously missed time this year with a finger injury and blurred vision from a scratched cornea after being sucker-punched by then-Atlanta Thrasher, Ben Eager.

In 49 games with Toronto this season, Armstrong has eight goals and 15 assists with a minus-1 rating.
