The Montreal Canadiens will be without forward David Desharnais for Game 6 of the series with the Boston Bruins.

RDS is reporting that the 24-year-old centre has a sprained knee and has been ruled out of the lineup as the Canadiens try to avoid elimination on home ice.

Desharnais has registered one assist in five games during the series against Boston. He had been centering the Canadiens' fourth line between Tom Pyatt and Ryan White.

Boston has won three straight games in the series after dropping the first two at home. Each of the last two games has gone to overtime.
