Sabres re-sign Gerbe to three-year, $4.3M contract

The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed forward Nathan Gerbe to a three-year, $4.3 million deal with an average cap hit of $1.43 million per season.

Gerbe would have become a restricted free agent on Friday.

The 23-year-old just completed his first full season with the Sabres and posted 16 goals and 15 assists in 64 games.

He was a fifth-round pick of the Sabres in the 2005 draft.
