The Winnipeg Jets added a pair of players on Saturday, signing forward Rick Rypien and agreeing to terms with defenceman Randy Jones on one-year contracts.

Rypien's deal is worth $700,000, while Jones' deal is valued at $1.15-million.

Jones, 29, scored one goal and added 12 assists in 61 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning last season.

He missed the final 16 games of the season and eight playoff games due to an ankle injury.

Rypien, 27, has played all six of his NHL seasons with the Vancouver Canucks. He had one assist in nine games for the Canucks last year, and played 11 games for the AHL Manitoba Moose.

The 5'11", 190lb native of Coleman, Alberta has nine goals and seven assists in 119 NHL games, with 226 penalty minutes.
