MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Peter Delmas to a three-year contract.

Delmas, 21, played in two games with the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs in 2010-11, posting a 1-0-1 record, 1.92 goals against average and .933 save percentage. He spent most of the season with the Canadiens' development team in the ECHL, going 15-6-2 for the Wheeling Nailers with a 2.03 goals against average and .928 save percentage.

A native of Bedford, N.S., the six-foot-two 190-pounder played junior hockey with the QMJHL's Lewiston, Quebec and Halifax.

The Canadiens also signed goaltender Nathan Lawson to a one-year, two-way contract.

Lawson played his first 10 NHL games with the New York Islanders last year, posting a 1-4-2 record, but spent most of the season with the team's AHL affiliate.
