The San Jose Sharks signed unrestricted free agent forward Andrew Murray to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Murray, 29, collected four goals and four assists in 29 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets last season, while also missing 31 games due to two separate injuries.

In 181 NHL games, all with the Blue Jackets, Murray has posted 23 goals and 13 assists with 32 penalty minutes. The native of Selkirk, Manitoba was originally selected by Columbus in the eighth round (242nd overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
