The Anaheim Ducks announced Wednesday that the club has signed centre Mark Bell to a one-year contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Bell, 30, played seven NHL seasons with Chicago, San Jose and Toronto, collecting 182 points with 597 penalty minutes in 445 career games.
He last appeared in the NHL with Toronto in 2007-08, scoring 10 points in 35 games. The 6-3, 220-pound centre has also appeared in nine career Stanley Cup playoff games with Chicago and San Jose.
Selected by Chicago in the first round (eighth overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Bell has played the last two seasons with Kloten of the Swiss National League A, collecting 52 points in 80 games.
