The Phoenix Coyotes re-signed restricted free agent winger Mikkel Boedker to a two-year contract.

The signing will give the Coyotes an annual cap hit of $1.1 million.

"We are very pleased to sign Mikkel to a two-year contract," General Manager Don Maloney said. "Mikkel is a talented, young player who continues to improve each season. We look forward to him playing an important role for us in the future."

Boedker, 21, is entring his fourth season in the NHL, racking up 16 goals and recording 45 points in 126 games.

The native of Brondby, Denmark, Boedker was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (8th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
