Unrestricted free agent defenceman Jordan Hendry has accepted a tryout offer with the Minnesota Wild.

The 27-year-old from Lanigan, Saskatchewan skated last season with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he scored one goal in 37 games. He suffered a torn ACL on Feb. 28 and missed the remainder of the season.

The four-year veteran has appeared in 129 NHL contests - all with Chicago - and scored four goals and nine assists. He won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2010.

Hendry earned $600,000 last season with the Blackhawks.
