Kristian Huselius is nowhere near ready to return to the ice but it appears the road to recovery is on target.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the Blue Jackets forward got some good news from doctors as he continues to recuperate from a torn right pectoral muscle.

"It's right where it should be at this point, six weeks after surgery," Huselius told the Dispatch. "So now we go to the next level and take it from there."

The next level is motion and flexibility exercises, which Huselius expects to begin this week in hopes of returning to action in early December.

"They want to set a target date so that we have a goal out there," Huselius told the newspaper. "But there's no real timetable."

Last season, the 32-year-old Swede scored 14 goals and added nine assists for 23 points in 39 games.
