Vancouver Canucks fans may not have to wait long for the return of Ryan Kesler.

Canucks general manager Mike Gillis expects Kesler to be back in the lineup in 5-6 games.

Kesler, who won the Selke Trophy last season as the league's top defensive forward, underwent hip surgery during the summer.

He had 66 points, including a career-high 41 goals.
