It appears what everyone thought is now official: Gabriel Landeskog is staying with the Colorado Avalanche.

According to the Denver Post, the Avalanche have confirmed that Landeskog will not be sent back to junior before his tenth game in the NHL, which will likely happen tonight against Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and the Edmonton Oilers. Landeskog was selected second overall in June's draft, behind Nugent-Hopkins, who could be playing in his 10th game tonight as well.

Landeskog has scored two goals and four assists in nine games with the Avalanche, playing on a line with Ryan O'Reilly and Daniel Winnik.
