It looks like fans of the New York Rangers will finally be able to stop chanting "We Want Avery" at home games.

Rangers head coach John Tortorella confirmed on Friday that Sean Avery, whom the Rangers sent down the AHL before the start of the season, would suit up against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

In some respects, Avery's return is a numbers game. Forward Wojtek Wolski is unavailable to play after leaving Thursday's game with a groin injury.  He was sent for an MRI on Friday, and Avery is the only extra forward on the roster.

In other Rangers' injury news, forward Mike Rupp will have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee next week and is out indefinitely.
