Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller sounded off on Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic following the Sabres 6-2 loss on Saturday.

Miller, who was run over by Lucic in a first period collision, had to leave the game after the second period with an 'upper-body injury.'

Lucic hit Miller around the faceoff circle as both tried to play a loose puck. The play resulted in the Sabres goalie on his back and the Bruins forward earning a charging penalty.

When asked by the media after the game about his injury, Miller wanted to only address the hit.

"I'm not going to go into that. I just stuck around because I just wanted to say what a piece of [expletive] I think Lucic is," Miller said to the Buffalo News. "Fifty pounds on me and he runs me like that? It's unbelievable. Everyone in this city sees him as a big, tough, solid player. I respected him for how hard he played. That was gutless. Gutless piece of [expletive]."

For his part, Lucic didn't have much to say following the game.

"He came out of his net. I was going full speed," Lucic told NHL.com. "There's not much I can do. So that's basically it."

After the game, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff said that Miller was suffering from a "little bit of a sore neck."

The two teams will meet again five more times, with the next game coming on November 23.
