The Pittsburgh Penguins said on Monday that Sidney Crosby will not return to the line-up for Tuesday's home game against the Colorado Avalanche.
The news came after the team took its morning skate on Monday. Crosby skated at right wing at practice on a line with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal.
The team said that when their captain is ready to return, they will announce it at least a day before the game in question.
Crosby has been inching closer to a possible return since for several weeks now ever since he returned to full-contact practices with the Penguins.
He has been sidelined by a concussion for nearly a calendar year, with his last appearance coming Jan. 5.
