Panthers trade Dadonov, Jenks to Hurricanes for Lindstrom

The Florida Panthers have traded forwards Evgenii Dadonov and A.J. Jenks to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forwards Jonathan Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom.

Matsumoto has played in 41 games with the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League this season recording 34 points. 

The 25-year-old forward played in 13 games last season with the Hurricanes, registering two goals and four minutes in penalties.

The Ottawa, Ontario native was selected in the third-round, 79th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Lindstrom has two assists and 10 minutes in penalties in 21 games so far this season with Tingsryds AIF of the Swedish Elite League.

The Lulea, Sweden native was picked 88th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Hurricanes.

Dadonov played 15 games with the Panthers this season, totaling two goals and one assist.

The Chelyabinsk, Russia, native also produced nine points in 20 games with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

The 22-year-old forward was drafted in the third round, 71st overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Panthers.

Jenks was originally selected in the fourth round, 100th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Panthers and has split time this season between the Rampage and the Cincinnati Cyclones of the East Coast Hockey League.
