Tim Thomas isn't going anywhere.

Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli shot down any trade rumours on Monday, saying there were no plans to move his star goaltender.

"Not trading him," Chiarelli said in an e-mail to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun. "I have not talked to anyone and I don't plan to."

Rumours began to pick up around Thomas' future with the Bruins when he elected to skip the team's visit to the White House honouring their Stanley Cup win.

Many speculated that the Bruins would be happy to turn to Thomas' backup Tuuka Rask, who leads the NHL with .938 save percentage and has a 1.82 goals against average in 18 games this season.

One rumour that surfaced during the All-Star break had Thomas being sent to Chicago in exchange for forward Viktor Stalberg.

But for now, at least, it appears Thomas will be staying put in Boston.

Thomas participated in the All-Star game this past weekend and has a 20-9-0 record this season, with a 2.12 goals against average and a .933 seve percentage.

He helped lead the Bruins to the Stanley Cup last season, winning the Conn Smythe trophy for his efforts. He also won his second Vezina trophy last season.
