Munz: Jets could be without Bogosian vs. Penguins

The 26-24-6 Winnipeg Jets are in Pittsburgh for a Saturday afternoon matinee at the Consol Energy Center against the 30-19-5 Penguins.

TSN 1290's coverage begins with Hustler & Lawless at 10:00am ct, followed by  Rick Ralph hosting the official Jets pre-game show at noon.  Dennis Beyak, Shane Hnidy and I will have the play-by-play at 1:00pm ct.

Kyle Wellwood and Tim Stapleton will return to action.  Stapleton missed the last nine games due to injury and illness.  Wellwood did not play the last two games due to illness.

Zach Bogosian did not practice Friday after taking a shot in the foot Thursday in Washington.  Head Coach Claude Noel tells TSN 1290 Bogosian will be a game time decision. 

If Bogosian can't play, Randy Jones, who has not played in the last five games, will.

Based on practice Friday in Pittsburgh, Eric Fehr will be a healthy scratch at forward.

Winnipeg is 1-1 against Pittsburgh this season with both games played at MTS Centre.

Jordan Staal returns to the Penguins lineup after missing the 15 games due to a knee injury.

The Penguins, who have only lost three of their last 12 games, have not played since Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss in Montreal. 

Evgeni Malkin, who will play his 400th NHL game Saturday, is on a 3 game point streak (2 goals & 1 assist).  He has 12 goals & 5 assists for 17 points in his last 12 games.

Arron Ashan of Portage La Prairie, remains out of the lineup due to a concussion.  He has missed the last 10 games.

Sidney Crosby has missed the last 26 games due to concussion like symptoms and neck injury.

Following Saturday's game, the Jets fly home and will host the New York Islanders Tuesday night.  They are back on the road Thursday in Minnesota.
