Each week, the NHL on TSN panel voices its opinions on the hot topics of the day in the Wednesday Night Hockey Quiz.

As a follow-up, TSN.ca offers you the opportunity to chime in on all the big issues with our insiders. Read up on all the questions and answers, and put in your own two cents on our popular Your Call feature.

Who could be in Brian Burke's sights now that the Leafs GM says he has to look at the goalie market?

Pierre LeBrun: Evgeni Nabokov is a rental that's going to be a little cheaper than a younger guy and he's a goalie that has played for Ron Wilson before in San Jose. There's a past relationship there and he's an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Brian Burke is serious when he says the team is looking at the goaltending market. They're not going to let Jonas Gustavsson and James Reimer twist in the wind, so this is not a psychological ploy.

Darren Dreger: If Brian Burke is going to lob it out there that he might look at goaltending options, then he has to be serious in his approach in his attempt to get a quality netminder in return. Anders Lindback is scheduled to play behind Pekka Rinne in Nashville for the next seven years and that is just not going to happen. At 6'6”, Lindback is a quality goaltender and Burke will take a run at him.

Bob McKenzie: There's an interesting situation developing between Nabokov and the New York Islanders. They have been talking contract over the course of this week. There is nothing imminent at this point but maybe by the end of the week, the Islanders and Nabokov will have a better idea of where each of them stand. However, I do worry – from the Toronto Maple Leafs perspective – that the prices are simply going to be too high, even on some of the rentals.

Where do you expect Rick Nash to be at 3pm et on Monday?

LeBrun: I think the New York Rangers are the absolute front-runners when it comes to Nash to the point where their discussions with Columbus are delaying other possibilities on the trade market for the Rangers. They want to see this through either way, but can they get the asking price to come down?

Dreger: The long-shot here is the San Jose Sharks. I know Doug Wilson keeps telling people around the National Hockey League that he's not willing to pay the price for Nash, but the list of teams Nash would be willing to accept a trade to is not going to change in the summer. If Wilson believes he's going to have a better opportunity to acquire Nash in June, that's not going to happen. I think he blinks and takes a hard run.

McKenzie: I like the fact that the Rangers and the Sharks are both in hard on potentially acquiring Nash but I'm not sure which of those two teams will ultimately prevail and I'm not sure that Scott Howson knows for sure, either. He can always make this deal closer to the draft, so I'm going to say Nash stays in Columbus on Monday.

Who will be the most sought-after role player available at the deadline?

Dreger: I like Steve Ott from the Dallas Stars for a number of reasons. He's a good face-off guy, he's a penalty-killer, he's a fierce competitor all year long. When it comes to the playoffs, you need that kind of energy presence in your lineup. Toronto, Vancouver and Philadelphia are all teams that will be looking at adding him.

LeBrun: Paul Gaustad is a big guy who's good on face-offs and possesses good physicality. I'd love to see him in Detroit. Imagine him skating on a third line alongside Darren Helm? That would be a perfect third line. He'll go somewhere for sure.

McKenzie: Colorado Avalanche forward Daniel Winnik is a player that is flying under the radar. He's another big-bodied player, he can be physical and chip in the odd goal. He's a guy that would help any contending team improve the depth on their third or fourth line.
