The Toronto Maple Leafs may have to finish the year without forward Nikolai Kulemin.
The team confirmed on Thursday that the 25-year-old Russian sustained a broken finger and is expected to miss the next three weeks. Should he miss the full 21 days, he would miss all but two of the team's remaining regular season games.
In 70 games with the Leafs this season, the two-way winger has scored seven goals and 21 assists. Those numbers represent a steep scoring drop off from the 2010-11 season, which saw Kulemin pot 30 goals in 82 games.
