Munz: Jets try to stop Panthers from clinching division title

The (36-34-9) Winnipeg Jets are in Sunrise, Florida for a 6:30pm ct face off tonight against the (37-25-17) Panthers.

TSN 1290's coverage begins with Hustler & Lawless live from Bank Atlantic Center. Rick Ralph hosts the official Jets pregame show at 5:30pm ct. Shane Hnidy joins me in the broadcast booth for the play-by-play.

Tanner Glass and Kyle Wellwood have both returned to Winnipeg after each suffering a broken foot in Carolina and Tampa, respectively.

Patrice Cormier plays his seventh NHL game of the season after being called up from St. John's yesterday.

Antti Miettinen has eight points (five goals and three assists) in his last 10 games.

Ondrej Pavelec starts in goal.

A win tonight over the Jets clinches first place in the Southeast Division for first time in Panthers history.

In 11 of the last 13 games, Florida has earned at least one point in the Southeast Division standings.

Stephen Weiss is celebrating his 29th birthday today. A decade ago, Weiss made his NHL debut and scored a goal in a 4-1 win over Pittsburgh.

Tomas Fleischmann has 10 points (four goals and six assists) in his last 10 games.
