Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews will return to the lineup Thursday night for Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Phoenix Coyotes, the Blackhawks confirmed on their official Twitter feed.
Toews had been cleared for contact and practiced two days in a row. He told the Associated Press that he felt no concussion-like symptoms after skating Wednesday in Phoenix.
Toews missed the final 22 games of the regular season after coming down with an upper body injury in a game against the St. Louis Blues on February 19.
He led the Blackhawks in scoring at the time of the injury with 29 goals and 28 assists in 59 games.
