Thoughts from the NHL on TSN Panel on Wednesday night:

Penguins key players deliver

It was still a wacky, wacky game.

The Penguins got down 1-0, they were up 2-1, then they got behind 3-2 and still managed to rally.

When you've got three centres who are the calibre of Crosby, Staal and Malkin, at any given time you are capable of that.

All three had terrific numbers.

Crosby on the night had one goal, three assists and was a plus-1 in nearly 20 minutes. He was also 56 percent on faceoffs.

Staal had the hat trick and was 65 percent on faceoffs in almost 23 minutes worth of ice time.

Malkin had two goals and three points and again, he was excellent on faceoffs.

The Penguins also didn't get a lot of push back from the Flyers once the wheels started to come off for a change.

There is no question that the centre-centric Pittsburgh Penguins, when all three of those guys are firing on all cylinders, are a very difficult team to beat.

Tremendous effort from Turris and Senators

It was a tremendous effort by the Ottawa Senators tonight to come back from a two goal deficit and beat the Rangers.

The offensive guys got going, Jason Spezza had a great assist on a great Milan Michalek goal, Sergei Gonchar stepped up offensively with a goal and an assist and Kyle Turris scored the game-winning goal.

Even before the winner you could see the confidence the Senators have in Turris.

He was out there during the final minute and change of regulation, trying to make something happen.

In overtime it was a great criss-cross as O'Brien dropped the puck and Turris took the screened shot leaving no chance for Henrik Lundqvist.

Lundqvist may have said after that he wants it back, but Turris has one of the best wrist-shots in the National Hockey League.

Turris has really embraced the role that's been provided for him with the Ottawa Senators. He knew when he left the Phoenix Coyotes that he wasn't getting the opportunity there and was perceived in some corners as a young petulant guy that didn't want to play the Dave Tippett wanted him to play.

When he came to Ottawa it was the right situation for Senators head coach Paul MacLean to work with him and Turris has embraced the chance and become a really good offensive second line centre.

He was a game-breaker in this one.

Two For One

Daniel Sedin's return was so important, that not only did you get Daniel back, but for the same price you got Henrik Sedin back.

Henrik had just been so-so in the series and was clearly missing his twin brother. They got re-united, and played with a lot of passion.

These guys were real good in terms of the pressure they put on, and the power-play goal that sealed the deal and made it 3-1 was all Harlem Globetrotter.

By the time it was all said and done they had one goal and one assist between them and were both plus- 1 on the night.

Both Sedins also played over 19 minutes of ice time. They do everything together, in fact they were just nine seconds apart in terms of their ice time.

Daniel said he would be happy if he could play 15 or 16 minute but he played 19 and was a big contributor, so was Henrik.

The Canuck fans are happy to have them back.
