Down 2-0 to the Kings and heading to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4, the St. Louis Blues will be without goalie Jaroslav Halak for the remainder of the series.

Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock announced Halak will remain out for the rest of the series following St. Louis' 5-2 loss to the Kings Monday night.

Halak was originally injured in Game 2 of the Blues' first round series against the San Jose Sharks. The 26-year-old veteran suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury after colliding with teammate Barret Jackman.

Hitchcock also said that he is hopeful defenceman Alex Pietrangelo will return for Game 3 on Thursday but remains day-to-day.
