Canucks re-signed forward Volpatti

The Vancouver Canucks re-signed forward Aaron Volpatti to a one-year contract on Friday.

The deal is a two-way contract worth $600,000.

The 27-year-old native of Revelstoke, BC, recorded one goal and 37 penalty minutes in 23 games with the Canucks last season.

In 38 NHL games, all with the Canucks, the forward has recorded two goals and one assist with 53 penalty minutes.

Volpatti was originally signed by the Cancuks as a free agent on March 22, 2010.
