The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed free agent defenceman Sami Salo. It's a two-year deal worth $3.75 million per year.
Salo has spent the past nine years with the Vancouver Canucks, tallying nine goals and 25 points in 69 games last season.
The 37-year-old is entering his 14th NHL season. In 761 career games, Salo has 93 goals and 305 points.
The Finnish native has won an Olympics silver medal in 2006 and a bronze in 2010.
