Free agent defenceman Bryan Allen has signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Anaheim Ducks.

Allen spent the past two plus seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes. The defensive defenceman recorded one goal and 14 points last season.

Prior to his time in Carolina, Allen played for the Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks. In 601 career games, the 31-year-old has 29 goals and 118 points.

The Ducks also signed defenceman Jordan Hendry to a one-year deal on Sunday.

Per club policy, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 28-year-old Hendry has played his entire four-year career with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he won a Stanley Cup in 2010.

Last season, Hendry scored once in 37 games and was a minus-two.
