Forward Joey Crabb has agreed to a one-year, $950,000 deal with the Washington Capitals.

Crabb, 29, spent the past two seasons playing with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Last season, the native of Anchorage, AK, recorded 11 goals and 15 assists through 67 games with the Maple Leafs. He also added seven goals and eight assists with the Marlies.

In 144 NHL games between the Maple Leafs and Atlanta Thrashers, Crabb has 18 goals and 33 assists.   Crabb was drafted by the New York Rangers in the seventh round (226th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with the Thrashers as an unrestricted free agent in 2006 and on June 24, 2010, he was traded to the Blackhawks - along with Marty Reasoner, Jeremy Morin - for Dustin Byfuglien, Ben Eager, Brent Sopel and Akim Aliu. He signed with the Maple Leafs as an unrestricted free agent the following month.
