Rangers sign Pyatt to two-year, $3.1 million contract

The New York Rangers have signed forward Taylor Pyatt to a two-year contract worth $3.1 million.

The average annual value of the deal is $1.55 million.

Pyatt, who turn 31 next month, had nine goals and 10 assists in 73 games with the Phoenix Coyotes last season. He was an unrestricted free agent after playing three seasons in Phoenix.

The veteran of 11 NHL seasons will be joining his fifth club. He has also skated for the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres, and the Vancouver Canucks.

The native of Thunder Bay, Ontario has 130 goals and 134 assists in 755 NHL contests.
