THE BEST CANADIAN JUNIOR TEAM - OF ALL TIME?

They've been remembered as possibly the best World Junior team ever.

With an amazing group of junior players made available to them by the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Team Canada rolled to a perfect 6-0 record in 2005 while outscoring its opponents 41-7.

The win in Grand Forks, North Dakota gave Canada its first gold medal in seven years in one of the greatest World Junior tournaments to date. Canada's team featured 12 returning players from the year before - and several future NHL stars.

Boston Bruins prospect Patrice Bergeron led the team in scoring with five goals and 13 points.

Other big names included Ryan Getzlaf, Jeff Carter, Dion Phaneuf, Shea Weber and of course - Sidney Crosby.

The silver medal-winning Russians fielded a strong team as well, with Alexander Ovechkin leading the way. Evgeni Malkin and Alex Radulov were also in integral part of the team.

But there was no disputing Canada as the class of the tournament - and they marked their place as arguably the best team the World Juniors had ever seen.
