Fehr officially rejoins Capitals on one-year contract

Eric Fehr is back with the Washington Capitals.

Fehr, who spent the 2011-12 season with the Winnipeg Jets, officially signed a one-year, $600,000 contract with the Capitals on Sunday.

The 27-year-old Fehr scored two goals and one assist in 35 games for the Jets last seaason.

He returns to the organization that drafted him with the 18th overall pick of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and the team with which he has spent the majority of his professional career.

In 265 career NHL games with the Capitals and Jets, Fehr has scored 48 goals and 48 assists.
