According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Blackhawks forward Daniel Carcillo could be out of the lineup for a long time.

Carcillo suffered an apparent leg injury in the third period of Chicago's win over the Los Angeles Kings, and the team said he could miss significant time.

"Danny is going to miss some time here," coach Joel Quenneville told the Chicago Tribune. "We'll know more exactly about the time frame by (Sunday)."

Carcillo was back in the lineup for the first time since surgery in January last year to repair his ACL.

Rookie Brandon Saad will likely take Carcillo's spot in the lineup, Quenneville told the Chicago Tribune.
