It was an optional skate on Friday morning for the Habs. After arriving back from Washington around 1am, a little more than half the players decided to take the option.

The players who decided to skate were: Colby Armstrong, Brendan Gallagher, Peter Budaj, Lars Eller, Yannick Weber, Alex Galchenyuk, Ryan White, Brandon Prust, Travis Moen, Erik Cole and Tomas Kaberle.

Head coach Michel Therrien decided to take the option as well, while assistant coach Clement Jodoin and goalie coach Pierre Groulx were on hand to run Friday's practice.

The Habs will be back at it on Saturday morning at 11am in Brossard to prepare for their home game on Sunday against the Devils.
