The Colorado Avalanche claimed forward Aaron Palushaj from the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.

Palushaj, 23, has spent the season with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. He had seven goals and three assists in 21 games before suffering a shoulder injury in mid-January.

The native of Livonia, Michigan was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the second round of the 2007 Draft, and was dealt to the Canadiens for Matt D'Agostini on Mar. 3, 2010.

In 41 career NHL contests - all with Montreal - Palushaj has one goal and four assists.

Also on Tuesday, the Phoenix Coyotes placed forward Alexandre Bolduc on waivers.
