Coyotes sign Brisebois to entry-level contract

The Phoenix Coyotes have signed junior free-agent defenceman Mathieu Brisebois to a three-year entry-level contract.

Brisebois has 17 goals and 50 assists in 58 games with Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season. He is currently tied for the league lead in scoring by defencemen.

The 20-year-old was named the league's second star of the month for February after collecting five goals and  12 assistsin 11 games with a plus-11 rating. He registered a point in 10 consecutive games while collecting two points in seven games.
