With the NHL Trade Deadline less than a month away, teams are making decisions on whether to buy or sell. Check out today's trade rumours and speculation from around the NHL beat, and follow TSN.ca each day until Deadline Day for all the updates.

Showing His Cards?

Leafs GM Dave Nonis has been relatively quiet since taking over from Brian Burke before the start of the season. The National Post speculates that could change as the trade deadline draws nearer, and says Nonis' Leafs could be both buyers and sellers at the deadline.

Extension or trade?

The Calgary Sun reports that Jarome Iginla and the Flames still haven't talked about a contract extension. If Iginla doesn't sign an extension in Calgary, it could mean his time with the Flames would be over at or before the trade deadline.

Taking All Calls

The Ottawa Sun, Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon will listen to all offers because he feels his team is out of the playoff picture. The top name being dangled is reportedly Kris Versteeg.

Although Alex Kovalev's future is still up in the air, his time with the Florida Panthers is over. According to a report in the Miami Herald, the Panthers would accomodate Kovalev if he found a team interested in his services.

Playing Wait and See

According to a report in the Ottawa Sun, Senators GM Bryan Murray is waiting to get timelines on his injured players - such as forward Jason Spezza - before deciding whether to make any moves at the trade deadline. The report says Murray isn't yet sure whether the team will be a buyer or a seller.
