Jets acquire Kubalik from Blue Jackets for Machacek

The Winnipeg Jets acquired forward Tomas Kubalik from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday in exchange for forward Spencer Machacek.
 
The 22-year-old Kubalik has played 54 games with the Springfield Falcons this season, scoring 14 goals and adding six assists for 20 points and 50 penalty minutes.

The Plzen, Czech Republic native has played in 12 career NHL games, all with Columbus, recording four points.
 
Kubalik was originally selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fifth round, 135th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
