The Montreal Canadiens held an optional practice at Brossard on Friday. Yannick Weber, Tomas Kaberle, Brendan Gallagher, Travis Moen, Peter Budaj, PK Subban, Gabriel Dumont, Alex Galchenyuk and Jarred Tinordi were the players who decided to take advantage of the extra practice time.

Ryan White is out with a lower-body injury and will not play Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres. The Habs have recalled Michael Blunden from their AHL affiliate team, the Hamilton Bulldogs, for the game.

Rene Bourque still hasn't received medical clearance to play and is very doubtful for Saturday. Carey Price will get the start against the Sabres.
