The Tampa Bay Lightning have locked up winger B.J. Crombeen for the next two years.

Crombeen agreed to a two-year extension with the Bolts on Monday worth an average annual value of $1.15 million.

"We are pleased to have B.J. with the Lightning organization for another two years," general manager Steve Yzerman said. "He has proven to be a hard-nosed right winger and reliable penalty killer, as well as a very popular teammate of outstanding character."

The 27-year-old Denver-native has one goal and six assists, while registering 86 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Lightning this season.

Originally selected in the second round (54th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars, Crombeen has scored 28 goals and 35 assists in 318 career games between the Lightning, Stars and St. Louis Blues.

Crombeen is currently in the final year of a two-year, $2 million deal he signed prior to the 2011-12 season.
