London Knights centre Bo Horvat rocketed up the charts in the International Scouting Service's April prospect rankings, released on Monday.

Reaching No. 10 in the scouting service's monthly ranking of the top eligible players for the 2013 NHL Draft after being ranked 24th in March, the six-foot centre impressed the ISS with his style of play.

The prospect report described Horvat as "London's most complete player" and added he possesses "decent size with good hockey skills in all areas of anyone's evaluation criteria. He is unselfish with the puck, he does not cheat in his own end, and also plays physically. He has clear leadership qualities."

The Top 10 for April saw little change beyond his Horvat's entry.

Portland defender Seth Jones remained as the top prospect, followed in order by Russian forward Valery Nichushkin and Halifax Mooseheads teammates Nate MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin.

Finnish forward Aleksander Barkov moved up one spot to fifth, pushing Sault Ste. Marie blueliner Darnell Nurse down one spot to sixth.

London defender Nikita Zadorov, Swedish forward Elias Lindholm and Ottawa 67s centre Sean Monahan completed the top-10, placing seventh through ninth respectively.

The report also noted that Barkov's draft stock could be affected by a recent shoulder injury that is expected to keep him out of the coming under-18 World Hockey Championships in Sochi, Russia.

"He had maybe more to gain from the exposure this tournament brings than any other player outside of Nichushkin," the report said of Barkov. "You can bet the shoulder will be brought up by more than one NHL team during interviews and the combine."
