The Ottawa Senators could have Guillaume Latendresse back in the lineup on Friday when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal.

Latendresse skated in Matt Kassian's place on the third line on Thursday, while Kassian was on the fifth line with Jim O'Brien and Peter Regin

Latendresse hasn't played since Game 2 of the first round against Montreal. In 27 games this season, he scored six goals and tallied 10 points.

On defence, Eric Gryba didn't skate on Thursday and his spot was taken by Andre Benoit.

The Senators trail the Penguins 1-0 in their series after a 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

The practice lines on Thursday were as followed:

Conacher - Turris - Alfredsson
Michalek - Zibanejad - Silfverberg
Latendresse - Smith - Neil
Greening - Pageau - Condra

Methot - Karlsson
Cowen - Gonchar
Phillips - Benoit
