Wild re-sign D Scandella to two-year contract

The Minnesota Wild have re-signed defenceman Marco Scandella to a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old blueliner spent most of the 2012-13 season with the Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, the Houston Aeros, logging two goals and 15 assists in 45 games. He would join the Wild for six regular season games and remain on the team's playoff roster, leading the team in defensive scoring, posting a goal and an assist in five agmes against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Scandella has played parts of three seasons with Minnesota, scoring four goals and adding 11 assists in 89 NHL games.

He was originally selected by the Wild in the second round (55th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
