The Montreal Canadiens signed goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a one-year, two-way contract on Monday.

Tokarski was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning in February of this year for Cedrick Desjardins.

The Humboldt, Sask. native has suited up in seven NHL games, winning once, losing three times and losing once in overtime.

The 23-year-old is highly decorated outside of the NHL, having been a member of the 2008 Memorial Cup-winning Spokane Chiefs, the starter for Canada's gold medal-winning team at the World Junior Hockey Championship and he backstopped the Norfolk Admirals to the 2012 Calder Cup title.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
