Tampa Bay Lightning forward Adam Erne has been suspended three pre-season games for an illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka during Wednesday night's contest.

Erne received a minor penalty for checking to the head on the play.

Erne had two power-play goals and also scored in the shootout to lift the Lightning to a 4-3 win over the Blues.
