It appears that the San Jose Sharks will be without forward Raffi Torres for an extended period of time.

According the CSNBayArea.com, the 31-year-old suffered an ACL injury in his right knee on Friday when he collided with Anaheim's Emerson Etem during a pre-season game.

Torres was reportedly seen leaving the arena after the game with a slight limp and with his knee wrapped.

Sharks general manager Ron Wilson said that the team has not made any decisions about whether surgery will be required. CSNBayArea says that Torres is likely to miss a minimum of six weeks, but would be out three-to-four months if he goes under the knife.

Torres signed a three-year, $6 million contract extension with the Sharks over the summer. He has seven goals and 11 assists in 39 games for the Sharks and Phoenix Coyotes last season.
