The Calgary Flames will be without the services of forward Matt Stajan for an extended period.

Stajan suffered a deep leg contusion in Thursday's shootout loss to the Washington Capitals and the club has listed him as week-to-week.

Stajan sat out Friday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets, opening up an opportunity for newly aquired forward Joe Colborne. The 23-year-old was acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs last Saturday in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. He has played 16 games in the NHL, scoring one goal and six points in that span.
