Head coach Dallas Eakins didn't provide much of an update on Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall on Monday.

Eakins said the 21-year-old will have an MRI on his left knee either later Monday or on Tuesday.

Hall was injured in the first period of Edmonton's game against Ottawa on Saturday. After a hit he left the ice under his own power but favouring his left side. He did not return.

Hall has three goals and eight points in nine games this season.
