Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson was taken off the ice on a stretcher during Sunday's contest against the Dallas Stars.

Stars winger Valeri Nichushkin skated hard to the net in overtime and into Anderson's crease, appearing to hit the netminder in the head with his knee.

Anderson was able to wave to the crowd as he was taken off the ice.

The native of Park Ridge, IL, was later seen walking the halls of the Canadian Tire Centre in full gear.

Following the game, Sens head coach Paul MacLean said Anderson has a stiff neck and will be further evaluated on Monday.

The Senators' next game is Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
