Flames acquire F MacDermid from Stars for 2014 draft pick

The Calgary Flames have acquired forward Lane MacDermid from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.

MacDermid has been assigned to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old forward was selected in the fourth round, 112th overall of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins.

He has played in six games for the Stars this season and has two assists and five penalty minutes.
