Boston Bruins defenceman Dougie Hamilton is out 2-4 weeks with a lower body injury.
Hamilton suffered the injury in Sunday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He is headed back to Boston to be evaluated and is unlikely to see any action this week.
"We'll see what the outcome is there but, right now, it doesn't seem like he's going to be playing with us probably this coming week," said Bruins head coach Claude Julien. "It doesn't look good as far as - the diagnosis on him was he's probably done for at least a week."
Forward Daniel Paille is also out with an upper body injury and will not play Tuesday in Calgary.
The Bruins are already without forwards Chris Kelly and Loui Eriksson as well as defenceman Adam McQuaid due to injury.
Forward Shawn Thornton is also out as he awaits a disciplinary hearing with the league for his actions against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.
